Cost of Care

One of the main concerns for anyone looking to stay at a Nursing home is the cost of care.

Here at Ashdale we try to put your mind at ease and relieve this pressure by keeping our fees as close to the National Social Services level as possible; thus allowing everyone the opportunity to stay here, however small their means.

If you are from the Pembrokeshire area, the Care Assessor for Pembrokeshire County Council Social Services Department (South Team) has to decide if the person entering Ashdale requires Nursing or Residential help and whether they are entitled to funding.  The Care Assessor can be contacted through the

Duty Assessment & Resource Team (DART),

County Hall,

Haverfordwest SA61 1TP.

Tel. 01437 764551.

The Local Health Board, after assessing and agreeing your nursing requirements, will pay for the nursing element of your care and Social Services may pay towards the cost of your Personal Care. If you reside outside this area your local Social Services Office will be able to give you further details.

Although local weekly papers are provided, there is an extra cost should you require a personal paper.  Hairdressing expenses are also an extra.  If funded by Social Services, a weekly allowance is given for everyday needs, new clothes etc.
